ABSTRACT RUDE
Abstract Rude is a West Coast veteran of independent and underground hip hop. He like many other rap artists in the LA scene got his start at the Goodlife Cafe and starred in the Ava Duvernay directed docu-film, THIS IS THE LIFE. Over time, his distinct voice and vast catalog has kept him working in the music business since the mid 90s releasing groundbreaking albums such as Project Blowed, South... Central Thynk Taynk, Mood Pieces, P.a.i.n.t & Haiku De Tat. As frontman of his original group Abstract Tribe Unique (ATU) and collaborator with Freestyle Fellowship members Aceyalone & Myka 9, Abstract Rude has endeared himself to fans worldwide through consistent touring. Ab Rude's music has been featured in motion picture scores such as The Wood, tv and movie soundtracks such as Dark Angel, videogames like 2KSports and Scarface, on albums Mixed Drink 1&2 with hip-hop legends The Beastie Boys (to whose Grand Royal Records label he was once signed) and on award nominated albums such as the Look At All The Love We Found...A Tribute To Sublime cd/dvd. Abstract Rude's last lp effort ('09) was his 1st on Rhymesayers Ent. entitled Rejuvenation, produced entirely by Seattle beatsmith Vitamin D. Ab did extensive sold out tours with Atmosphere & Brother Ali during that run, and released interim discs (Coat of Gold Paint, Eyes Wide Shutish, Steel Making Trax, Dear Abbey the lost letters mixtape) on his own Keep The Feel Ent. imprint within the 2 years after the Rhymesayers lp. In November 2013, Rude released a collab ep with Rhymesayers co-founder Musab entitled The Awful Truth on Fifth Element Records. 2014 found KTF Ent. releasing & leaking singles "Kan Of Whoop Ass" and "I Lived In A Time" to setup Abstract Rude's newest & most anticipated lp, Keep The Feel: a legacy of hip-hop soul (street date: April 28th, 2015). Ab Rude's new lp features producer friends & fellow Project Blowed / Rhymesayers & Living Legends artists that he's worked with over his extensive career. I think I'm going to start keeping up with this Blog again. I haven't posted on it since 2014 and plenty has gone down since then And so much more coming. Its about to be a very busy Summer.

ALL YOUR FRIEND'S FRIENDS is a seminal Northwest Hip-­Hop Compilation album produced entirely off of samples pulled from the K Catalogue. Featuring over 30 of the most unique MCs from the region including members of mega-­crews OLDOMINION and the SANDPEOPLE,
the album also introduces a host of hidden talent from OLYMPIA, WA. K’s sonic stomping ground. 

This decades spanning compilation is a creative celebration of the Northwest sound and scene in some of its most striking masks and manifestations. The energy of the album moves fluidly between dark, angsty, and self-reflective to upbeat, nostalgic, and carefree, taking the listener on an underground rap odyssey through the overcast streets, anarchist basements, cramped performance spaces, and stoned-­out suburbs of this moody and musical part of the world.
